Administration
Anchor responses to a specified event and the past seven days. Use all 22 ratings from the original response coding.
Scoring method
Sum the 22 ratings scored 0–4 for a 0–88 total. Preserve the original item key when reporting separate subscale means.
Interpretation & limitations
- The 0–88 sum describes event-related distress. Subscale findings can characterize intrusion, avoidance and hyperarousal; no universal diagnostic cutoff is applied here.
- Interpret the findings alongside the clinical interview, functioning, history and relevant physical assessment.
- This DSM-IV-era measure does not directly implement DSM-5 or ICD-11 diagnostic criteria.
- Use the original instrument and manual for item wording, rating anchors, missing-data rules and any normative conversions. This reference does not establish a diagnosis or select treatment.
