Administration
Enter a completed twelve-item simple-score total using current 0–4 response coding.
Scoring method
Twelve 0–4 items yield 0–48. The 36-item simple total is 0–144 and is a different form. IRT-weighted scoring uses WHO’s separate algorithm.
Interpretation & limitations
- Higher simple totals reflect greater reported functional difficulty. A simple raw total is not an IRT score, percentile or disability percentage.
- This calculator is only for the complete twelve-item simple method. Do not enter an older 1–5-coded total or a 36-item total.
